Meet Me at the Wall WS with Stuart Weinstein at Ambler Sun, Oct 22, 2017 at 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm


Looking for a new way to support your practice? You're familiar with all the props, blocks, straps, and blankets. But what about an additional resource that can be found in any yoga space, at home, or almost anywhere you want to practice?! THE WALL!

In this two hour workshop, we will take our mats to the wall and explore creative sequences that highlight ways that the wall can enhance your practice and deepen your poses.

Nothing But Assists...Part 2 with Tricia Fleming at Ambler Sat, Nov 4, 2017 at 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
 
 
Join Tricia & Stuart for three fun filled 2 hour classes featuring hands on assists all class long!! Each session will include a slow and thorough warm up followed by a practice focused on working specific areas of the body. Class will end with deep relaxation breathing and a 15 minute savasana in Supta Baddha Konasana. Classes will be limited in size to maximize the hands on assists experience for each student. These classes are appropriate for students of all levels, but previous yoga experience required. Sign up now!!
 
Part 1 - Spine & Shoulder / Upper Body Opening
 
Healthy back… happy body. This class will include poses to both strengthen and open the spine from top to bottom as well as focusing on shoulder opening.

Join us for our 3 day Barre Teacher Training with experienced teachers, Michele Dolaway and Alyssa Beerger. During this training you will learn the skills needed to become a great teacher. This Training will encompass learning proper technique and body alignment, anatomy, incorporating props and giving modifications as needed to your clients. It will give you options for sequencing to add variety to your classes. An array of different movements will be included to keep your clients constantly challenged. It will also cover cueing, teaching tips, and ways to create a music playlist to keep your classes motivated and energized.Both instructors have a pilates background and will teach you ways to incorporate pilates-based exercises into your classes. Trainee’s will receive ample time to practice teach, and a detailed Barre Manuel is included. Join Tricia and Suzy for an afternoon of restorative yoga and massage. This unique class will guide you back towards your center with passive stretching and supported relaxation poses. While in these poses, massage will ground and calm you. Class size limited so be sure to sign up early!

Arm balances!!! If only you had more time in your flow practice to figure them out! Sometimes arm balances and their transitions may seem intimidating, however, with the right directives, most arm balances are very accessible in their full or modified forms.

Come learn proper alignment, how to shift your weight and engage the proper muscles to find stability in a variety of arm balances and inversions. We will warm–up with 20-30 minutes of Vinyasa and then begin to break down various arm balances and their transitions. We will end with a meditative Savasana to allow your body and mind the time to absorb new information. Ability to do basic Bakasana (crow pose) and L-pose or an inversion at the wall is suggested for this workshop.
