Pilates: All LevelsDonna Iula has been teaching group fitness for over 20 years at various gyms and fitness clubs in the area. She received her mat pilates certification from AAAI & ISMA and has been teaching mat pilates since 2002. Donna also participated in the IMX reformer training in the spring of 2008. In addition to teaching pilates, Donna received her SPINNING certification in 1998 and personal training certification with Johnny G SPINNING in 2001. Personal Achievements 2007 Philly Triathlon Sprint 3rd place in the Masters Division, 2007 Philadelphia Women's Triathalon 4th place, Sherox 2007 3rd place Masters Division and 2007 LBI Triathalon 1st place Masters Division. Completed Philadelphia Marathon 2004 and NYC Marathon 2006

Michele Dolaway

Michele began her dance training at the age of 3 with The Ballet Theatre of Scranton and Scranton Civic Ballet Company. She continued her training at Point Park University with a concentration in jazz. Michele moved to the Philadelphia area and continued to train at The University of the Arts. She performed with Steppin’ Out Productions, Bally’s in Atlantic City and the Sixers Dancers (Philadelphia 76ers).
Michele went on the get her Nursing Degree and after having three daughters, got back into dance by taking classes at Steps on Broadway, Broadway Dance Center, Bucks County Dance Center and Koresh Dance Company. With two of her three daughters seriously studying dance, Michele returned to teaching and choreography. She was introduced to Pilates and immediately fell in love. Michele is passionate about Pilates because of the attention to proper body alignment and core strengthening – consistent with dance.
Michele is certified in both Mat and Reformer (IMX) Pilates, Balanced Body Pilates, Balanced Body Barre and aerobics (STRIDE). She enjoys teaching students of all ages and loves to share her passion for dance and pilates with those in her class. Michele also teaches jazz dance at Philadelphia Dance Theatre.
Advanced Level Only
Level II/II Classes are designed for advanced students in great physical condition. They offer an intense 60 minute workout to challange even the most experienced student.
Pilates Mat is a group exercise class that uses basic equipment such as a Pilates ring, resistance band, or weighted balls. These exercises help strengthen the body’s core (3 dimensionally) by developing pelvic and scapula stability and abdominal control using focused breathing patterns. The main fitness goals of Pilates Mat include improved flexibility, muscle tone, body balance, spinal support, low back health, and body-mind awareness.

Pilates Mat classes are a great way to get strengthen your yoga practice or cross train for any other physical activity.
