Yin Yoga: All Level

Barbara Richardson

Barbara began practicing yoga in 1995. Seeking to deepen her practice and delve into the spiritual and philosophical aspects of yoga, she took a leap of faith and entered a teacher training program led by Corina Benner at Wake Up Yoga in Philadelphia. She received her 250-hour yoga teacher certification in 2004. In 2005, Barbara studied with Judith Hanson Lasater and received her certification in Restorative Yoga. In 2006, she returned to Wake Up Yoga and completed her certification to teach Yin Yoga.
 
Additionally, Barbara has attended workshops with Maty Ezraty and Chuck Miller, Shiva Rea, Sarah Powers, David Williams, an John Friend. Barbara’s classes focus on building strength, examining the rhythm of breath and finding stillness during fluid movement.
 
Barbara completed Pilates Mat training with IM=X in 2008 and Pilates Reformer training levels I, II and III with Balanced Body University in 2009.

Katelyn Rosenberg

Katelyn was a School Counselor prior to deciding to leave traditional education and transition over to Twisters Wellness Centers where she is loving her new life as a Yoga Teacher. She has used her experience as a counselor to link creative and mindful themes into her classes. Katelyn's energetic and playful spirit shines through as she shares her passion for Yoga with her students. She is an advocate for kindness, wellness, and balance both on and off the mat.
 
She grew up as a competitive gymnast and Yoga became a physical, emotional, and mentally healing practice after a serious spinal injury. Katelyn's classes are designed to open your heart, flow with breath, reduce stress, discover body awareness, and build confidence to explore new poses. Katelyn enjoys creative sequences and making Yoga available for everyone. 
All Levels Welcome

 
Yin Yoga postures are floor-based and are held for longer periods of time (generally 3-6 minutes). Deep stretching and lengthening help increase circulation to the joints and promote flexibility throughout your body. Breath is linked with the postures to help sink deeply into the poses and let go of any stress your body may be holding. You will learn to breath through discomfort and find peace within the poses.
