Emily Lambert has been practicing yoga since 2003 when she first stepped inside the single Twisters’ studio in Erdenheim. As Twisters has blossomed, so has Emily’s love of yoga, inspiring her to pursue a 200-hour Anusara teacher training at Yogaphoria in New Hope, PA in 2009 and advanced trainings in prenatal and anatomy & therapeutics, as well.

Emily aspires to teach alignment-based classes encouraging students to dive deeper into their practice and into their hearts, learning there is always more, both on and off the mat. Please join her.

Dara Lyons

~ Yoga Instructor

Dara began doing yoga as a way to bring balance to her life. A former competitive athlete and dedicated professional, yoga transformed her life--offering her a way to connect with her emotions and her inner voice. After changing her personal path through yoga, she left a career in finance to pursue her personal passions of yoga and writing.

She received her Yoga Teacher Training at the Yoga Education Institute (a Registered Yoga Alliance School). Dara lives in Mt. Airy and works as a writer and yoga instructor. She is a very hands-on instructor and believes that yoga offers each of us a doorway into ourselves. A blend of all forms of Hatha yoga, Dara’s classes are suitable for all levels and incorporate form along with flow.

Tricia Fleming

~ Yoga Instructor

Yoga was a natural progression for Tricia after a life of competitive figure skating followed by studies in Exercise Physiology in college. She has been teaching for 15 years and feels as strongly about yoga today as when she started.  While she loves the physical side of yoga her keen interest lies within the practice of mindfulness and the science behind  it.  Her classes are flow based with a heavy emphasis on the breath-movement connection and the practice of mindfulness while moving.

Tricia has studied with Dee Silvers, David Swenson, Manju Jois, David Williams, Seane Corn, Michelle Synnestvedt and John Friend (gasp).

When not slaving at the studios she can often be found stressing out her vocal cords on the sidelines of one of her 3 daughters lacrosse games.

Elizabeth Moulder

~ Yoga Instructor

Elizabeth completed her teacher training in 2006 at Wake Up Yoga after being inspired by teachers and studies in college to delve into eastern philosophy. During her yoga training, she developed an interest in the anatomical and physiological aspects of the practice while furthering her understanding of its philosophy.

She has since completed trainings with great teachers, and was certified to teach prenatal yoga in 2007. She continues to frequently study and practice yoga, and maintains a constant fascination with the help of her studies, her students and her teachers.

Karen Reina

~ Yoga Instructor

Karen’s passion for yoga began in 2000 and she has been teaching at Twisters since 2005. Initially trained in Ashtanga yoga, she completed the 100-hour Anusara Immersion and has been formally trained in the HOT series as well. She has attended intensive trainings and workshops with Noah Maze, Christina Sells, Desiree Rumbaugh, Darren Rhodes and Naime Jezzeny and consistently seeks new inspirations for her own classes and practice as well.

Karen also holds a Masters in Education and has a background as a competitive athlete; both influence her teaching style and ability to share her knowledge and love for yoga through challenging, alignment–based classes. However, most evident are Karen’s energy, enthusiasm and genuine commitment to her students. She creates a safe and supportive environment that enables students to explore their own capabilities with freedom, confidence and security. Karen will drive your desire to take your practice to the next level and encourage you to continue your personal journey on and off the mat.

Teri McGann

~ Yoga Instructor: RYT500, E-RYT200

Teri McGann is a Yoga Alliance Registered yoga teacher at the 500 hour level. With over 3500 hours of teaching experience and 300 plus hours of independent credit hours she also holds the Educator status with YA. She is certified in Pilates through Balanced Body and held certification with American College of Sports Medicine. Most recently her practice expanded to include energy balancing of the subtle body (doshas) and is working toward certification as a yoga therapist. She has been a student of yoga for over 30 years and a teacher for the last 10. Before teaching, Teri spent much of her time at her potter’s wheel in her at home studio and can be found there most days still. She holds a BA in Art History from Tyler School of Art and a BA in History from Temple University.

Teri’s classes are dynamic and inspired, a blending of the Anusara alignment based yoga in which she earned her 200 hr certification with Michelle Synnesvedt and a creative mixing of other styles she has explored and cherished. “Just as colors on a palette are individual and unique, they may be blended together to form different hue, or when placed side by side, offer contrast. I could no sooner paint with a single color, as I could not imagine teaching from one style. The Iyengar, Kripalu, Ashtanga, Anusara, Yin, and Amma traditions.... All these beautiful systems are part of who I am, a culmination of the practice I’ve crafted, and are in part, what I can offer back.”

Attending Teri’s classes, one can expect welcoming fellowship, alignment based instruction, creative sequencing, and most importantly humor. She teaches to what she observes and honors personal requests and suggestions . “I love to allow the creative process to flow. Developing and mapping out an idea has its merits, but freshness and vibrancy often comes from the freedom of not getting too invested in a singular plan or idea. The teachings and the practice should support and nurture an individual’s growth in physical strength, flexibility, and also spirit. I always strive to honor and respect these attributes, and simultaneously present them in a way that is both enlightening, at times entertaining, and hopefully always fulfilling.”

Most recently Teri’s studies have included delving deep into the the subtle body and its energies. She recently completed a 300 hour cerification in Ammayanni Yoga Therapy, which incorporates subtle energy balancing and positional therapy yoga with Bridget Yanni, founder and inspirational force
behind Amma Yanni Yoga Center and School. Though these are specific modalities, Teri has enhanced her regular classes by introducing some of these techniques. “Nothing makes me happier than to be able to share
what I’ve learned or experienced. To offer back honors the teachings, my teachers. the students, and all those whose lives they touch. This connectivity is why I practice.”

Yoga has been a continual thread weaving in and out of much of Teri’s life over the last few decades. An avid skier, Teri enjoys the slopes of
Pennsylvania, has skied up and down the East coast from PA to Maine, and considers Colorado a second home. If not skiing the mountains, she can be found hiking them. “Hiking all 54 of the 14er’s would be a goal. I’ve done one. There’s time. They aren’t going anywhere. (wink). I do not roll up my mat and forget my practice. My life, this journey. Doing the things I love with people who inspire me....thats my yoga!”
