Yoga on the Steps is the signature annual fundraising event for Living Beyond Breast Cancer and provides a way for individuals and teams to join their communities in supporting women affected by breast cancer - all while experiencing the healing benefits of yoga. LBBC invites you to join women affected by breast cancer, their family members, their friends, their colleagues and their community leaders for Yoga on the Steps (May 20, 2012) and a show of solidarity and support demonstrated through the healing power of a one-hour yoga class.  After the class, participants and supporters can enjoy a light breakfast while browsing a Healthy Living Expo featuring yoga and fitness studios, healthful foods, natural cosmetics and information to make informed choices for healthy minds and bodies. The event will be held rain or shine, and please remember to bring your own mat and/or towel.

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!

TEAM UPDATE:

We are about one month away from Yoga on the Steps, and Team Twisters has raised close to $15,000 for Living Beyond Breast Cancer! Your first important team deadline is in 10 days - April 30 - please read on:

Yoga on the Steps is a fabulous event, and a critical fundraiser for LBBC. That being said, there is a suggested minimum attendance fee of $50. The hope is that registrants will fund raise (so easy to do through Yoga on the Steps web page!) and bring in much more than $50 per. It does not cost anything to email a fundraising letter...three Team Twisters members have individually raised over $1000 already.

A sample/template fundraising letter is on the Twisters web page under the YOTS link. You can copy and paste and send very easily if want to fund raise. I will help you with this! And team member-top fundraiser Sherry Kravitz will help you set up a personal page on YOTS web site.

Please raise (or donate if you do not wish to fund raise - there is NO OBLIGATION to fund raise) your $50 minimum by April 30th to receive a Team Twisters shirt in your custom size (after that date it will be a default size, we'll do the best we can) and make a bus reservation. Since there are 75 people on the team so far, we will likely have 2 busses, but an early count will be so helpful to Gail Rosenthal, the Team Twisters bus captain. Reservation for bus will be first come, first served.

Please review the team page - check your own name on the roster to see your current balance. Many of you are at or well above $50 already, due to your personal donations at the Barefoot Ball.

This year we will acknowledge sponsors ($500 and above) on the back of the shirt. Print deadline is Monday April 30, so please try to tighten up any large donations this week.

RSVP directly by emailing
jymiller55@gmail.com after reaching the $50 minimum. Again, custom shirt-size deadline is April 30th. Please include your size and whether you plan to ride the bus.

With gratitude,

Jill

PS - Women's shirts are fitted – please choose a  size up if you prefer a looser fit.

Team Twisters - How To Get Involved

<BR>Team Twisters - How To Get Involved

Even if you can't attend the event, you can still make an important contribution to our efforts. Many of you attended the Barefoot Ball in February, where the Twisters community raised over $7,000 for LBBC services and programs.  It was an incredible afternoon!  Thank you to everyone involved...from the entire Twisters Yoga staff, to the wonderful team at Fort Washington Mercedes-Benz! Here are the additional ways you can get involved and contribute!

Donate:

There are several fast and easy ways to donate money for LBBC under the Team Twisters banner. In our Ambler Center with have set up a computer kiosk, where donations can be made online with your credit card. These donations can be made to support a friend, one of your teachers, or make a general donation to Team Twisters. This online donation process can also be done at your convenience by visiting the Team Twisters Fundraising Website, located at:

Team Twisters Fundraising Page

If you prefer to donate with cash or check, we have provided envelopes with donation forms at both our centers to collect money in this fashion. We will forward the donated money weekly to LBBC.

Attend The Event with Team Twisters:

If you register for the event along with the recommended minimum $50.00 donation, you can join Team Twisters onsite for this wonderful day. Please register soon as we will be ordering Team Twisters T-Shirts, which will be distributed prior to the event.  Registration can be completed at the Team Twisters Webpage link provided in this email. If you have already donated at least $50.00 and plan to attend, please RSVP to jymiller55@gmail.com. A Team Twisters Bus is also in the works, like last year. The bus makes for a fun and easy way to attend the event.

Fundraise For Team Twisters & Earn Great Prizes!

You can also use our fundraising website to be a fundraising member of Team Twisters. We have a fundraising goal of $30,000 this year, and we need your help. As a fundraising Team Member, you get your friends and family members to donate under your name. Both LLBC and Twisters Wellness Centers have incentives for people who raise money.
